How incredible is it that God has made it possible for us to largely be able to combat even family health histories or life circumstances that we find ourselves in by changing our daily habits around food, sleep, stress management, and movement?! What a beautiful knowing and opportunity to have!!
Maybe you come from a family who has a history of cancer, obesity, or heart disease? For so long, especially in our American culture, the thought has been that we simply will inherit what our parents or relatives have had and that there isn't much we can do about it. HOWEVER, the truly life-changing news and blessing is that many studies have proven that lifestyle is where it's at and that we actually do influence the majority of the chances and can decrease the likelihood of acquiring diseases.
Please, don't forget that 80% statistic! You have a choice, and no matter how long you have been eating a certain way, had a specific routine, or perhaps have just felt discouraged or confused about where to actually start and how in the world to sustain lasting change…
